Keeping Tribal Heritage Alive

At Kauseyah, our journey goes beyond creating handcrafted products
It is rooted in the belief that every craft carries a story—of people, places, traditions, and generations of knowledge. Our inspiration comes deeply from Chhattisgarh and its rich cultural heritage, especially the artistry and traditions of the Gond communities.
For generations, their relationship with nature, storytelling, art, and everyday life has shaped a unique cultural identity. Their traditions are not simply something from the past—they are living expressions of a way of life that deserves to be understood, celebrated, and carried forward.
Through Kauseyah, we hope to create a deeper connection between these age-old traditions and the modern world. By celebrating traditional artistry and creating meaningful opportunities around craft, our small effort is to support sustainable livelihoods while helping keep these skills visible and valued.
For us, sustainability is not just about the materials we use.
Sometimes, it is about preserving knowledge that has existed for generations. It is about recognising the value of handmade work, respecting the hands behind every creation, and ensuring that traditional skills have a place in the future.
Kauseyah is a small part of this larger journey—a journey of celebrating India's rural and Indigenous heritage, honouring craftsmanship, and keeping the stories of our villages and communities alive.
Because when a craft continues to thrive, so does the story of the people behind it. 🪷
